NEW PATIENT? Please book an Initial Assessment to give us enough time to be thorough in our assessment and provide you with best care. Please note: Devonna is no longer accepting new patients at this time - Luka and Michelle are both accepting new patients for Orthopaedic Physiotherapy and Michelle is accepting new patients for Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Please note that we all work in collaboration together as a team to ensure your health care experience is well coordinated, cohesive and informed.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice or don’t show for their appointment, will be automatically charged a cancellation fee of the cost of the appointment.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy uses a variety of techniques including myofascial trigger point release, passive stretching and joint mobilization to decrease pain/discomfort, increase mobility and working collectively with physiotherapy and movement can improve day to day functions!

Michelle is a passionate Physiotherapist that loves helping people recover from their injuries and pursue their health goals. Michelle collaborates with her clients to develop an individualized program of care to address their unique needs using a biopsychosocial approach. She focuses on empowering clients to take an active role in their recovery by emphasizing the power of movement and regular exercise for an active, healthy, and pain-free lifestyle.

Michelle has spent her career practicing in a private practice, working with patients of all ages and all types of injuries return to doing the things they love.

She has also completed her advanced training in pelvic health physiotherapy in supporting individuals of all ages with bladder/bowel dysfunction, pregnancy-related issues/labour and delivery preparation, low back and pelvic girdle pain, sexual dysfunction. She has pursued additional training specifically in pregnancy to support people holistically throughout prenatal and post-partum periods.

Michelle’s journey to become a Physiotherapist began with the completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. Following this, she undertook her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. She continued her professional development by completing the Level Two Advanced Integrative Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy program which has equipped her with additional skills in the realm of manual therapy. Marc received his massage training and graduated from Bryan College and has been a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2012. Through his past athletic activities, Marc understands the importance of being pain free to achieve performance. 

Marc is passionate about helping people overcome injuries and returning clients to pre injury function and comfort levels. He has over a decade of experience treating people with all types of of injuries and ailments,

Luka is dedicated to getting people back to doing what they love and being pain free while doing it. He strongly believes in the partnership of working together with patients to achieve their healthcare goals. His treatment philosophy reflects a biopsychosocial approach, which incorporates a holistic view of a patient to best address their concerns. In addition, Luka places emphasis on the value of patient education and believes that it is the key to motivating patients to take an active role in their health.

Luka’s educational background includes two degrees from the University of Toronto, including his Masters of Physiotherapy. In addition, he has completed Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program and plans to continue to progress through this program. Luka has a strong interest in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, as well as in dry needling and is planning to take continuing education courses in these fields in the fall.

In his free time Luka loves spending time with his family and friends and trying to make them laugh. He enjoys a good coffee and spending time with his favourite (and only) niece. He enjoys back-country camping, bouldering and playing instruments. He has a passion for physical activity of any kind and picking up new hobbies or sports. Devonna Truong, owner of Tru Physiotherapy, is passionate about advocating for evidence-based practice and the indispensable role of exercise and empowerment within the biopsychosocial approach to healthcare. She believes in the power of knowledge and inspiration in uniting all aspects of a person’s health and is truly fulfilled by being able to help others in a meaningful way.

She has practiced in several different clinical settings and has established a strong vision and core fundamental principles that govern her practice. She is motivated to create a safe space that reflects her core values as a physiotherapist, in hopes of inspiring and guiding her patients to take control of their health.

Devonna’s educational background includes two degrees from McMaster University, as well as an extensive involvement in continuing education. She is a facilitator at the physiotherapy program at the University of Toronto and previously, McMaster University.

She is also passionate about advocating for women’s health and pelvic health not only in clinic, but she also works with an amazing team of women as Chair of the Women’s Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She believes in recognizing the pelvic floor and the rest of the body as an integrated whole by unifying pelvic health within physiotherapy practice.
